Jo

I have been teaching for over 10 years in schools across Hampshire. During this time, I have taken on different roles including leading year groups and key stages, as well as leading subjects such as English and maths. I am passionate about teaching and nurturing young minds and spirits. My specialism in English means I am able to help children to develop into confident readers and agile communicators.

I have had experience of guiding many children through their KS2 National Curriculum tests and it is my firm belief that children are more than a score. However, as testing can be a tricky time for children, it is important to get the approach right in order to ensure that it is a positive experience. My aim is to always make sure self-esteem is high and that children are happy, prepared and confident.

Julia

I have been teaching for 7 years in both private and state schools in Edinburgh and Winchester, developing a unique and innovative teaching style. I have been successful when working with children who have a wide range of needs. I believe in personalised learning and always focus my teaching around each individual child.

Before embarking on a career in teaching, I was a member of the Great Britain Swimming Team for 6 years. Training and competing at Olympic level has given me a unique insight into how sport can help build confidence and develop skills in growth mindset, determination and resilience; key components to being a successful learner.
